Car spotting for people who know cars
Point your phone at a car on the street and OttoSpot tells you what it actually is: the generation, facelift or pre-facelift, the trim and the years. Then it files the catch in your own garage with a rarity tier.
What makes it different
The interesting part is which generation, whether it is the facelift, what trim, what chassis code. It is exactly the part they skip, and it is the only part an enthusiast actually argues about. That depth is the whole point of OttoSpot.
A make and a model. That is where most of them stop, and it is where the conversation starts.
When it is not sure, it says so, and you can correct any identification yourself. Concept GT-01 is a fictional car used here for illustration.
How it works

A proper camera built for the moment a car goes by, with ultrawide, standard and 2x lenses.

Generation, facelift, trim and years, with an honest confidence signal instead of a confident guess.

Every catch is filed with a rarity tier. Keep a streak, finish quests, and level up.

Rarity
Rarity is how unlikely a car is to cross your path, not what it costs. That is what makes an Exotic worth stopping for.

Garage cards
OttoSpot can restyle your photo into a clean studio shot. Caught it from behind? Render it from another angle and see the front.

Keep coming back
Spotting is better with a reason to look up. OttoSpot gives you a few.
Privacy
OttoSpot is built to hold as little about you as it can.
You cover the plate and any faces before a spot is saved, and the blur is burned into the image itself. The unblurred original is never stored.
No account needed to catch, identify and keep a full garage. Profiles are private until you switch them on, and never show your photos or where a car was.
No analytics, no advertising, and nothing in the app that reports what you do to anyone.
One thing worth knowing. Identifying a car sends that photo, once, to our identification provider, before you blur it. That is how the identification works, and you are asked first. The privacy policy spells out everything that leaves your phone.
